"It Pays to Get A's"

“One of the best ways to improve a community is through a good education. Educated kids grow to be productive members of our community” says Dr. David Golden. "This program is our way of partnering with our schools, contributing resources they need during these difficult economic times. The school years are a very important time in a child’s life. However, often times one of the most important learning tools may be overlooked--a child’s vision. Vision disorders are the fourth most common disability in the United States and the most prevalent handicapping condition in children, according to the Review of Optometry. Common symptoms of vision problems in children are: decreased reading comprehension, loosing place when reading or skipping lines, squinting, and eye rubbing. These signs signal the need for a comprehensive eye examination.

“Golden Optometric Group wants to encourage success in school, “says Dr. Golden. “Children with uncorrected vision conditions or eye health problems face so many barriers in life…academically, athletically, and socially.” To promote eye health, Golden Optometric Group is again presenting our program entitled “It pays to get A’s”.
